A NATIONWIDE pub chain has confirmed it is looking for a spot on the shores of Windermere.
JD Wetherspoon has confirmed that it is "keen" to open up a pub in Bowness and is in negotiations over a site.
A spokesman for the company said they could not comment on which site it was looking at.
Should Wetherspoon proceed with the site in Bowness, it would become the company's second pub in the South Lakes after The Miles Thompson, in Kendal.
