A KENDAL man arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery has appeared in court today (January 19).
Craig John Jackson, 43, of Aynam Road, appeared from custody at South Lakeland Magistrates' Court where he spoke only to confirm his name.
Represented by Rachel Broughton, Mr Jackson was charged with robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis.
The charges allege Mr Jackson robbed Robert Fort of £420 at Kendal's Lound Road Garage on Saturday (January 17) and used a kitchen knife to threaten him.
He was refused bail.
Mr Jackson will appear in Carlisle Crown Court on February 9 for a preliminary hearing.
