GARDENING personality James Wong will be on hand to offer gardening tips at a south Cumbrian annual summer horticultural celebration.

James will be the The Holker Garden Festival's special guest on May 30 and will take part in Q & A sessions in the Holker Garden Theatre, sign copies of his new book ‘Grow for Flavour’ and offer expert advice and top tips to amateur gardeners and visitors.

Trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens, James makes regular appearances on BBC Gardeners’ World, BBC Countryfile, The Chelsea Flower Show, and as a panellist on BBC Radio 4 - Gardeners’ Question Time.

Fans of BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time are in for a treat as The Holker Garden Theatre welcomes Eric Robson as he takes to the stage to share his experiences of life as chairman of the popular gardening radio show.

Hosted by the Cavendish family in the grounds of Holker Hall & Gardens in Cark-in-Cartmel, the Holker Garden Festival is a three day event taking place from May 29 to May 31.

The festival showcases the very best of gardening, countryside, food and crafts, with a vibrant mix of horticultural displays, fragrance filled marquees, striking show gardens, country crafts and artisan produce.
