A LAKE District hotel is to be given a multi-million pound revamp.
The part Grade II listed Forest Side Hotel at Grasmere was recently bought by local entrepreneur Andrew Wildsmith, who has appointed Lancaster-based Harrison Pitt Architects to work on the £2.5m restoration.
The development will see the hotel’s 23 bedrooms re-configured and refurbished to create 18 larger en-suite bedrooms and three luxury duplex suites.
Mr Wildsmith also runs The Ryebeck in Bowness and Hipping Hall in Kirkby Lonsdale.
