ALMOST 300 walkers braved the elements on Sunday to complete a gruelling long distance walk.
‘That’s Lyth’ is the most popular annual challenge event for the Westmorland and North Lancashire Long Distance Walkers’ Association, and had 284 starters this year.
The 24-mile route takes runners and walkers on a scenic route visiting Cunswick Fell, Whitbarrow Scar and Scout Scar, starting and finishing at Abbot Hall Social Centre, Kendal.
The money raised from the event will be split between several local charities – to be decided later in the year.
