MADCHESTER legend Bez will be taking to the decks for a DJ set at a south Cumbrian indie night.
The Happy Mondays dancer and backing vocalist will be making an appearance at ‘Step On’, at The Nines, Barrow, on March 14.
Familiar to Cumbrians from the band’s appearance on the Main Stage at Kendal Calling this summer, Bez has been one of the most continually outrageous members of Manchester’s music scene since the band got together in the 80s.
Dancing with his eyes turned skyward and a pair of maracas, he became a role model for the baggy generation that followed.
He’s since written a book, won Celebrity Big Brother, DJed around the world and most recently announced his intention to stand as an MP candidate for the Salford and Eccles constituency.
Expect a lot of movement, some inspired MCing and all manner of heavy dance music from the indie and dance genres.
