A SHAP man has pleaded guilty to two offences following an armed robbery last month.
Angus Ronnie MacDonald Harron (29), Main Street, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday (Feb 2). He admitted the robbery of £45 cash from Christine Dinsdale and also the possession of a semi-automatic pistol during the incident. This occurred at a shop in the Castlegate area of Penrith town centre on January 16.
The case of Harron, who was represented in court by defence barrister Mr. Mark Shepherd, was adjourned by Mr. Recorder Grice.

Harron, of Main Street, will be sentenced at a later date. He entered his pleas to the two charges via video link, and was remanded in custody until his next appearance in court later this year.
* Two other men who each face the same two charges in relation to the incident also appeared, via video link, alongside Harron at the hearing.
They were Gareth Fleming (35), of South Dyke Cottages, South Dyke, near Penrith, and Mark Anthony Jewitt (42), of Rydal Crescent, Penrith. No pleas were entered by either man to the two allegations.
Their cases were adjourned until April 7, when they are expected to enter pleas to the charges.
