A PENSIONER has been airlifted to hospital with severe injuries after falling from a Lake District fell.
The 65-year-old man from Ulverston fell on Coniston Old Man and dislocated his shoulder, suffered facial injuries and had hypothermia.
The Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS) was called to to the aid of the man at 12.30pm yesterday (February 11).
He was treated by Coniston Mountain Rescue Team and a GNAAS doctor before being flown to Furness General Hospital.
His condition was stable on arrival.
