DOG lovers in Cumbria are being invited to sign up to a special charity event in Bowness in aid of local families affected by cancer and life limiting conditions.
‘Bark in the Park’ - organised by Kendal based charity CancerCare - is an hour long sponsored dog walk event over Brant Fell and takes place on Sunday March 8 at the Glebe in Bowness from 11am.
A fun dog show event will follow after the walk with rosettes and prizes for the winners with categories including muddiest dog, prettiest bitch, handsomest dog, waggiest tail, judge's favourite and best in show.
