A DIAMOND ring, bracelet, watches and electronic equipment was stolen during a burglary near Kirkby Lonsdale.

Police are investigating and said the value of the items came to just under £8,000.

The burglary happened between 8.30am and 6.30pm on Tuesday February 24 in the Mansergh area near Kearstwick.

Detective Constable Mark Kerley, South Cumbria CID, said:“We ask anyone who may have any information into this burglary to get in touch. This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated by police and we are making enquiries in order to bring the offender to justice.

“Some of the items stolen hold great sentimental value to the owner and we require your help in tracing who is responsible.”
