A MAN has admitted stealing 21 jumpers and three Meccano sets during a shoplifting spree in Kendal.
David Wain, 52, of Water-barn Street, Burnley, was spotted taking the jumpers from Peacocks, in Elephant Yard, in December.
Wain pleaded guilty at South Cumbria Magistrates Court to three counts of theft, including jumpers worth £260 from Peacocks, three Meccano sets worth of £29.97 from The Works, on Finkle Street, and toiletries worth £29.95 from Bodycare on Stricklandgate.
The hearing was adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
