YOUNGSTERS will have to get a wiggle on if they are to meet a very hungry caterpillar to raise money for vulnerable children.

Under 7's from the South Lakes can meet the popular kids character The Very Hungry Caterpillar as he leads the Giant Wiggle event at Casterton, Sedbergh Preparatory School on Thursday, March 19, at 9.30am.

As part of the only Giant Wiggle event in the North West, children will form a giant conga line for a 560m 'wiggle walk' around the school grounds.

Children are invited to arrive in costume dressed as caterpillars, butterflies or any of the food that the nation's favourite caterpillar munches on in the book with all money raised going towards Action for Children's work to support vulnerable young people.

Last year, more than 750 wiggles took place nationally with more than 30,000 children taking part.
