THE King's Arms at Burton-in-Kendal has extended its bed and breakfast facilities with the addition of seven new ensuite bedrooms following a £350,000 investment from Daniel Thwaites. This increases its ensuite accommodation from six to 13 bedrooms, including a specially designed room with disabled access. Licensees Neil and Ann France took over at the Kings Arms in partnership with Thwaites just over four years ago and have since seen demand for overnight and weekend accommodation in the village steadily increase.
