Firefighters rescue stranded spaniel from river at Natland
FIREFIGHTERS rescued a stranded spaniel which fell into the river by Hawes Lane, Natland, on Saturday.
When crews attended at 3.25pm the dog was stuck on an island.
Firefighters, including swift water technicians and canoeists, went into the water to rescue the dog.
