TRIBUTES have been paid to the motorcyclist involved in a fatal accident near Graythwaite.
Steven Heaney, 55, died from his injuries when he came off his Honda motorbike while travelling in convoy from Hawkshead to Graythwaite at around 6pm on Saturday, March 21.
Mr Heaney's family have paid tricute to 'a loving son, husband, father and grandfather' in an emotional statement released today (Tuesday, March 24).
The statement reads: “Steven had been mad about motorbikes for over 40 years and loved going off on day trips to the Lake District with his friends. Steven was a loving husband to Susan, father to Patrick and Emma, son to Sam and Norma and Grandfather to Kieran and Jason. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.”
The death of Mr Heaney, from Clitheroe, is not believed to be suspicious and police are conducting enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.
