AN ULVERSTON man accused of killing a teenager by driving dangerously made his first appearance in court this morning.
Kyle Braithwaite, 24, appeared at Furness Magistrates’ Court in Barrow charged with causing the death of 19-year-old pedestrian Jessica Quayle following a collision on Mountbarrow Road in Ulverston on July 7 last year.
Wearing a smart dark suit and red tie, the 24-year-old, of Beckside Road, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address during a brief five minute hearing.
Mr Braithwaite has also been charged with causing serious injury to Sandra Anne Nevinson by driving dangerously, as well as possession of cannabis, cocaine and ketamine.
He was granted unconditional bail and will next appear at Preston Crown Court on April 10.
