WINDERMERE-born Father Funk picked up two awards at The 14th Annual Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards

The Ghetto Funk and breaks star was crowned Best Breakthrough Artist and Best Free Track for ‘Love Games’ (co-produced with Slamboree).

The awards were presented at Sound Control, Manchester, during an event which included sets from A. Skillz, Plump DJs and Elite Force with the awards section hosted by High Rankin.

The honours top off a huge 12 months for Windermere born Will Williamson aka Father Funk which saw him sign with the legendary Finger Lickin’ for bookings, partnering with EQ Management and sitting alongside a roster that includes some of the biggest names in electronic music.

This was followed up by his ‘Phenomenal Funk’ EP (Scour Records) topping overall Juno charts and spending months in the Juno breakbeat chart.

Regarding his double award scoop, Will / Father Funk said:“I’m totally overwhelmed by the support and would like to thank everyone for their votes. Here’s to another big year in 2015!”

This yeat looks set to be an even bigger 12 months for the 20-year-old rising star with numerous shows booked in the UK and abroad plus a highly anticipated full length debut album.
