THE Lake District has been voted the most romantic place to propose in the UK, according to a new survey.
The study of more than 2,000 people, commissioned by SuperBreak, revealed the locations in the UK most associated with love.
The highly coveted crown of most romantic destination in the UK has been awarded to the Lake District, seconded by Scotland, with the public voting for the Northern gems five to one over the bright lights of London.
