PRIMARY school teams from across Craven remembered local rugby legend Johnny Walker when they took part in a memorial tag rugby festival hosted by Giggleswick Junior School.

Johnny, who went to Settle Primary, Middle and High Schools and worked as properties manager at Giggleswick School, was a talented rugby player, representing the North of England and Yorkshire. He died in January 2013, aged 44.

The tag rugby festival was supported by the Walker family, including sons Jack and Chris who currently play for Yorkshire Carnegie, and who donated trophies for the event.
