INTERNATIONAL referees will be in charge of three of the Scottish

Exiles' four matches in the McEwan's district championship.

David Leslie has been named for Glasgow's game at Imber Court on

December 2, Jim Fleming for the Anglo-Scots' visit to Hawick three days

later, and Ken McCartney for the Edinburgh v Exiles encounter on

December 9. Glasgow and the South will be refereed by another member of

the international panel, Ray Megson, when they meet at Hughenden on

November 28.

An Englishman, yet to be named, will referee the game between South

and Edinburgh on December 12, and an Irishman, Ronnie McDowell, will do

the Scotland A v Italy match at Murrayfield a week later.

McDowell is also to referee the Heriot's v Currie match a week on

Saturday, the day that his compatriot, Des Lamont, is to take the Dundee

High v Watsonians game. Two Border referees will be on exchange visits

to Ireland that day -- McCartney for Dungannon v Cork Constitution, and

Chuck Muir for Shannon v Greystones.

LOTHIAN and Midlands, joint holders of the Bank of Scotland schools

district title, meet at Barnton this afternoon (2pm) with three enforced

changes in the home XV from the team who beat the South 22-15 last

month.

Paul Croft replaces the injured Dai Ablett at centre, and the back row

has been recast with Keir Hamilton and Graham Dall unavailable. Alan

McGregor and Adrian Huitt are introduced, and Sandy Cairns switches from

No.8 to wing forward. Lothian's team:
