Police urge homeowners to be vigilant after heating oil theft in Old Hutton
POLICE are urging people to be vigilant after a spate of fuel thefts from properties around Cumbria.
Heating oil was reported stolen from a house in Old Hutton on Thursday, March 26.
This comes after two almost identical incidents took place in the north of the county near Carlisle the week before.

Police are telling residents to regularly check their oil levels and take all necessary security procedures although it is not clear whether the incidents are linked.
If anybody has information on the incidents they are urged to call Cumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
