There is just one week to go until The Westmorland Gazette's Question Time-style pre-election debate.
This will be the opportunity for people to hear the views of the five candidates who have so far stated that they plans to stand in the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency (nominations close today, April 9).
It's a real chance for those who have still to make up their minds which way to vote on May 7 to discover what the candidates would do for the area if elected.
The debate will be held at the Hub at Kendal College's new engineering facility, at Milnthorpe Road, on Thursday, April 16.
On the stage will be John Bateson (Labour), Tim Farron (Liberal Democrat), Chris Loynes (Green Party), Alan Piper (Ukip) and Dr Myatt (Conservative).
The event is timed for 6.30pm with the debate due to begin at 7.15pm. Entry is free but is by ticket only, with seating for 250 people.
All the seats have now been allocated but if you wish to attend and do not yet have a ticket contact vicky.goodall@kendal.newsquest.co.uk to see if there have been any returns.
The Gazette has invited people to submit questions to be asked on the night and the process of selecting those questions has now begun.
