THE five towns in South Lakeland that have a twin town are organising a joint display in Kendal Town Hall on Friday April 24, from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday April 25, from 10am to 3pm.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of twinning between European towns, and Coniston, Kendal, Sedbergh, Ulverston and Windermere will each have a display, and twinning officers will be on hand to provide advice.
Similar events will be held in the other towns at a later date. Visitors will have a chance to taste foods, hear music and see films and information material from different European countries.
