Tales of Barnaby Grange by Hugh McWilliams, £3.50
MORECAMBE-based children's writer has penned this delightful children's story about the tiny creatures living in the garden of the eponymous house.
Throughout the seasons, the garden is buzzing with life and the tale of what goes on is told by a busy narrator called Miss Milly Pede.
As she goes about her Barnaby Grange business, she encounters a host of other creatures such as Spider Web, Ringo the Beetle, George the Dragonfly, Billy the Centepede and Bobby the Bumblebee.
They are busy building and repairing their homes, searching for food and trying to keep out of trouble - but they always find time to stop to have a chat during the long summertime days.
Tales of Barnaby Grange has colour illustrations and is published by Arthur H Stockwell Ltd, of Ilfracombe, Devon.
