Calvert, of South Road, and Greenwood, of Gillthwaitrigg Lane, both Kendal, were brought to justice by police investigating a spate of burglaries across South Lakeland. These occurred during a 17-month period up to May last year.
The court heard that while the two men were not directly responsible for all the break-ins, tools and electrical equipment stolen from commercial premises were later found at their homes by police.
"You are partners in crime," Judge Paul Batty QC told Calvert and Greenwood after hearing the pair had committed scores of offences over two decades.
