A LONE walker was airlifted to hospital after suffering head injuries in a Lake District fall.
The 59-year-old sustained a cut to his head and a shoulder injury while walking near Side House, in Langdale, yesterday (April 26).
Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team was called out at 1.30pm and members treated the casualty until a Great North Air Ambulance helicopter arrived.
