A WOMAN was helped by a group of walkers after becoming stuck on a notorious Lake District scramble route.
The 27-year-old became cragfast and was too scared to move on Sharp Edge on Blencathra at around 2.30pm on Friday.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team was called out while other members stayed at base to provide communications.
"The Team got as far as Scales Tarn, when a passing group were able to assist the woman up the grooves to the top of Foule Crag, and a member of Cleveland MRT who was on the hill offered to escort the party down," said a spokesperson.
17 members were involved in the one hour 50 minute operation.
