A WOMAN fell around 30 feet and was stuck close to the embankment of the River Kent early this morning, say firefighters.
It took firefighters 30 minutes to rescue the woman using a spinal board before passing her into the care of paramedics.
Four swift water rescue trained crew members were involved in the incident, which took place at 3.15 am at the junction of Kent Street and New Road, Kendal.
Police were also called.
No more information was released.
