A WALKER has died after plunging 60ft from a crag on a coast-to-coast trek in the Lake District.
The woman was near Anglers’ Crag overlooking Ennerdale Water when she fell on Saturday (May 2).
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called to her aid at 11.55am.

Suffering from serious head injuries, the Bolton woman was treated by team doctors and paramedics from North West Air Ambulance Service before being winched off the crag by an RAF Sea King helicopter.
She was flown to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle but due to the severity of her injuries, did not survive.
The operation involved 23 team members.
