A COLLECTION of religious books and artefacts from the Mayor's Parlour at Kendal Town Hall has been given to the county archives.
Kendal Town Council asked South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Forum to relocate the collection - which includes wooden and copper Buddha statues - to a place where it would be available to everyone.
A special wooden book stand to hold the items at the archives at County Hall, Kendal, was crafted by the Men in Sheds woodworking group at Age UK South Lakeland.
