SWARTHMOOR singer Georgie Taylor has made it through to the next round of Britain's Got Talent.
The 22-year-old and her Misstasia bandmates attracted a heartfelt sing-along and a standing ovation from judge Amanda Holden after performing Part of Your World, a song from classic Disney movie The Little Mermaid.
Dressed in a floral blouse and turned-up blue jeans, with her blonde hair in a plait, Georgie took to the stage at the London auditions with her fellow singers Katie Lawrence, Rosie Hale and Enola Dyer. As well as charming the audience with their four-part harmony singing, the girls won four 'yeses' from judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
Britain's Got Talent host Ant McPartlin, watching in the wings, was also heard to praise Misstasia's "good vocals" when they made their debut on the ITV talent show.
Fans will find out in this Saturday's episode (May 16) whether Misstasia are through to the live shows, Thames TV told the Gazette. The overall winner will take home a £250,000 prize and will also appear at the Royal Variety Performance.
