MORRISONS is helping its Kendal customers get in the mood for this weekend’s Eurovision Song Contest by playing a variety of Eurovision hits on The Old Showground store’s tannoys from tomorrow.

More than 50 tracks from previous winners, such as Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz, Abba’s Waterloo and last year’s triumph Rise Like A Phoenix by Conchita Wurst, will be specially integrated into the store’s usual playlist.

Rebecca Singleton, Central Retail Operations Director at Morrisons, said: "Over the past 60 years the Eurovision Song Contest has become a very British celebration - and we’re happy to mark that, for this big anniversary.

"Many of our customers will be stocking up for their Eurovision parties this week, so it stands to reason that we should play some classics from the competition and help them get in the right mindset."
