Biker in critical condition after suffering head and back injuries during crash
A BIKER is in a critical condition after being airlifted to hospital with severe head and back injuries.
The Great North Air Ambulance team were called to the scene after a 46-year-old woman was involved in a road traffic collision in Hartside, near Alston.

She was treated at the scene before being flown to Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, where she arrived in a critical condition.
