A GIRL has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a head injury after falling from a horse.
The 14-year-old was riding in Little Strickland, near Shap, when she fell today (May 26) and sustained a non life-threatening head injury.
MORE TOP STORIES: Great North Air Ambulance were called at 11.45am and the girl was treated at the scene before being flown to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle.
Her condition was stable on arrival.
