Crews tackle blaze at Furness cottage
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a late night blaze in a Furness cottage.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called to the home on Dunnerholme, Askam in Furness, yesterday (May 27) at 11.29pm.
MORE TOP STORIES: The blaze involved a wooden beam above a fire place.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots before leaving.
