SIXTY Cumbrian Young Farmers competed in the Stockman and Young Stockjudge of the Year competition at Penrith Auction Mart.
Winner was Simon Graham (Skelton YFC) with 357 points with Heather Fox (Kent Estuary) second on 355 points. Joint third place went to Matthew Emmott (Greysouth YFC) and Philip Mattinson (Aspatria YFC) on 344 points.
Sam Blease of Kent Estuary YFC won the Bronwyn Chester Trophy for Young Stockjudge of the Year with 361 points, Eleanor Fisher, Penrith YFC was placed 2nd with 343 points, Emma Atkinson, Brampton YFC placed 3rd with 338 points and Abigail Fisher, Penrith YFC, with 324 points came 4th.
The team trophy was won by Greysouthen, with 2nd place going to Longtown YFC, 3rd place Penrith YFC and 4th place Grayrigg YFC..
Teams will now go forward to represent Cumbria at the Northern Area Stockman of the Year/Young Stockjudge of the Year competition at the Isle of Man on the 18th and 19th July.
