A RESCUE team was dispatched to help a dog who had slipped and damaged its legs in the Lake District.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out just before 8pm yesterday (June 28) to help recover the German Shepherd who had fallen from the fell path.
The dog and owner were found on the Red Tarn Beck path, 200m below Red Tarn, Helvellyn.
Reluctant to move for fear of causing further injury, the owner waited for the 11 members and a veterinary surgeon to reach the pair.
