NDEPENDENT North West retailer Booths says it is supporting British farming by only stocking British bacon.
The chain, which has six stores in South Lakeland and north Lancashire, say all the bacon it sells, including that consumed in its cafes and restaurants, will be 100 per cent British.
Booths is the only UK supermarket to stock fresh meat exclusively from this country, and the majority of their lamb, beef and pork is sourced locally from the four counties in which it trades.
