VOLUNTEERS are needed to help keep the Poppy Appeal alive in Levens.
The Royal British Legion says it no longer has anybody in the village to help sell poppies for the Royal British Legion and, unless volunteers come forward, this year's appeal may be in doubt.
MORE TOP STORIES: Poppies are traditionally sold door-to-door from the end of October leading up to Remembrance Sunday, and the money raised helps to support ex-service men and women locally.
To volunteer, phone Cumbria's community fundraiser Alan Whitmore on 07917-581077 or email Awhitmore@britishlegion.org.uk
