KENDAL'S Comic Arts Festival will have more international guests this year than Manchester International Festival, its organiser has said.
Julie Tait, director of Lakes International Comic Arts Festival, said the event would be hosting 33 guests from around the world.
Ms Tait also told a Kendal Town Council meeting that the festival team had received a lot of interest during a recent trip to Toronto, and were planning to take their work out on tour next year if funding can be secured.
In addition, she said they would be holding an event at the British Museum this year.
