A SPECIAL tree planted by schoolchildren to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee has been vandalised in Hornby.
The tree, brought to the country as an acorn from France, was discovered to have been sawn through having been planted by schoolchildren from St Margaret's Primary School in 2012.
A local resident said: "The vandalism is extremely upsetting."
