American woman suffers ankle injury in Hawkshead hill fall
ELEVEN members of Coniston Mountain Rescue Team went to the assistance of an American lady in her 60s this afternoon who had slipped and fallen while walking on Latterbarrow, near Hawkshead.

The lady was treated by team members for an ankle injury and stretchered to a land ambulance from North West Ambulance Service for the onward journey to Furness General Hospital, Barrow.
