FIREFIGHTERS tackled two separate blazes within hours of each other in Windermere.
At 17.13 on Saturday, August 29, emergency services were called to a property on Orrest Drive where an unattended pan had been left on a gas cooker hob.
The pan was removed from the cooker and the property was ventilated to clear the smoke.
Then, at 4.14am today (Sunday, August 30) one fire engine from Windermere and one fire engine from Staveley were sent to a fire involving a balcony at a commercial property on Fallbarrow Road, Windermere.
