A BIKER was flown to a major trauma centre after sustaining severe injuries in a fall.
The 40-year-old man suffered serious head, left and chest injuries when he came off his mountain bike near Castle Crag, in Borrowdale, yesterday (August 30).
MORE TOP STORIES: Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and the Great North Air Ambulance were called at 4pm to help the Egremont man who was stabilised before being airlifted to the major trauma centre at Royal Preston Hospital for specialist care.
His condition on arrival was said to be stable.
