YOUNG people are being urged to attend South Lakes MP Tim Farron's annual football youth surgery on Thursday, September 3.

Tim will be at the MUGAs on Hallgarth from 11am to 12pm, Sandylands from 1pm to 2pm and Kirkbarrow from 3pm to 4pm.

Previous football surgeries have been a real success, with hundreds of young people joining Tim to play football and talk to Tim about the issues that matter to them.

Tim will play five-a-side football on the multi use games areas with the local youngsters, before sitting down to discuss issues of concern.

Tim said: "I think it is very important to engage with the young people in our area and the summer holidays gives me the perfect chance to discuss the issues affecting them. It's also great for me to get the occasional game of five-a-side in!

"Obviously the games areas are important to young people but I always enjoy hearing from them about their concerns on other issues such as crime and jobs.
