AN 'EXTREMELY harmful' cocktail of drugs has been stolen from a vets in Caton, say police.

The massive drugs haul, worth hundreds of pounds, took place between 6.45pm on Thursday, August 27, and 7.45am on Friday, August 28.

The offenders gained entry to the vets, on Hornby Road, by breaking a padlock before smashing their way into the drugs cabinet.

As well as stealing £20 in cash, the offenders made off with 200 Tramadol pills and quantities of phenobarbital, propoflo, anesthetic, butabor and cisapride liquid.

All of these substances, which have a collective value of around £350, according to police, could be potentially lethal to the public and people are being urged to be wary if they are offered any unprescribed medication.
