SINGER songwriter Chris Bannister will bring his show celebrating the life and work of John Denver to Cumbria this week.
'The Music Of John Denver' is a show that Chris performs alongside his original concerts and has been a firm favourite among fans of the late singer for the past six years.
Chris’s latest album 'The Unicorn And Other Stories' - a collection of traditional Nova Scotian folk songs with new arrangements - has received extensive airplay on BBC radio stations throughout the country since its release a few weeks ago.
In October Chris will fly to Aspen, Colorado, for the fourth time to perform concerts during 'Aspen in October' - the annual celebration of Denver's life and music.
Chris first went there in 2012 to perform with Steve Weisberg, John Denver's lead guitarist, whose playing featured on all of Denver's platinum albums including 'Back Home Again'.
Steve Weisberg sadly passed away last year and left Chris his 1937 Epiphone guitar in his will, which Chris described as ‘an incredible honour’.
Chris plays at Wigton Market Hall on September 12 and Grange Victoria Hall on September 18.
