THE world-famous Wordsworth Hotel is being rebranded by its owners, it has been announced.

It will form part of The Robert Parker Collection alongside five other 'magnificent' properties across the country.

Robert Parker said: “The idea behind the branding of the hotels as The Robert Parker Collection is to showcase and market the exceptional quality of the properties we have under the same umbrella. Each individual property is totally unique, and each retains its own individuality, however, from a customer point of view, The Robert Parker Collection brand is to become synonymous with the highest levels of customer service, food and accommodation.”

The Grasmere-based hotel will have a special emphasis based on food, with Philippe Wavrin, executive head chef across all venues, taking a hands-on approach.

As well as the Wordsworth Hotel, the portfolio boasts Guyzance Hall, near Alnwick, Northumberland's Doxford Hall and Eshott Hall and Edinburgh-based Dalhousie Castle.

In total there are 170 bedrooms, 23 AA Stars for accommodation, 5 Restaurants, 8 AA Rosettes for dining, 3 swimming pools, 11 spa treatment rooms, 435 acres of land and 200 members of staff.
