OVER half-term Wordsworth Trust's Dove Cottage is celebrating the Big Draw, which aims to get everyone drawing throughout October.
This year comic artist and The Westmorland Gazette's esteemed cartoonist Colin Shelbourn joins the Grasmere trust to help families create their own quirky caricatures, taking inspiration from the amazing James Gillray pictures on display in the Wordsworth, War and Waterloo exhibition.
The show features artwork presenting the likes of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington battling it out in their huge hats and comic outfits. Colin will be in situ on Tuesday, October 27, and Thursday, October 29, from 2pm-4pm.
Also next week at Dove Cottage, there will be drawing trails to guide children around the site pointing out some of the trust's artefacts and treasures.
