AIR ambulance crews rushed to the aid of an injured woman who had fallen on Helvellyn.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team called the Great North Air Ambulance Service at 1.10pm yesterday (Thursday, October 29) after a 52-year-old woman slipped and dislocated her shoulder near Browncove Crags.
She was treated at the scene then flown to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, in just nine minutes - she arrived in a stable condition.
Later that day, at 6.10pm, the air ambulance attended another call out after a man in Grange-over-Sands had fallen from a ladder.
The 58-year-old was treated for lower back injuries before being taken to hospital by land ambulance.
